Barry M Take a Brow Gel – Review

£4.99 - Superdrug - Barry M

Barry M - Take A Brow

Any makeup look isn’t complete unless I’ve done my brows! I love a pomade, a Pencil, a powder, but on the go nothing can beat a brow mascara!

For the past year I’ve been using the MUA Tinted Brow Mascara. I was pretty impressed with the results – then they changed the colours! On the hunt for an alternative, I found an new option from Barry M.

Take A Brow isn’t revolutionary or anything new, but at under £5 it was definitely worth a try.

Barry M - Take A Brow Wand

First opening this product, I was pleasantly surprised. This product is Vegan (unlike the MUA one) and the perfect shade of brown for me. Most other brow mascaras I tested in Superdrug have a very yellow or orange undertone to them – if you struggle with this then it might just be the product for you!

Without a shadow of a doubt, the wand is the best part of it! I’m used to using a wand the same size as a regular mascara – thinking that those tiny wands was just something you got on high end products! For me, this is a game changer.

When I use a product like this I’m usually in the car trying to be quick, while at the same time not get it all over my face. This is easy, not messy and actually looks great when it’s done.

My brows aren’t too sparse to begin with, but the volume this can add is insane. It does tend to leave tiny lumps of product in the brow, but you can only see them when looking really close. It’s a great colour on me – although this is the only colour they do! They also do a clear gel which would be good to set your brow in place.

The Verdict

Will I be swapping my MUA one for this? Absolutely! It’s Vegan, Cruelty Free and the perfect colour for me. The brush is amazing and it genuinely lasts all day. It can go a bit crispy, but holds your brows in place. Overall, a cracking little product.

5/5
