My 2022 Rolling Project Pan - Introduction

I buy too much - we all know this. You only have to look at my previous few years worth of low-buy posts to see that I am buying far more than I am using. That’s why I’ve decided to make a drastic change. From the start of this year until the 1st of July, I am on a complete no-buy; that means hopefully, nothing new will be purchased or coming into my collection in that time; it also means that I need to use up a lot of what I’ve got. That’s right. It’s time to start another project pan!

Lottie London Ready Set! Go Powder “True Translucent”, Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pencil “Black Noir “, Milk Makeup Hydrogrip Primer, The Body Shop Matte Lip Liquid “California Rose”, NYX Retractable Lip Pencil “Nude”, The Body Shop Makeup Setting Spray,

And here are the first ten items I’ve chosen. A nice mix of drugstore and high end with some that can be realistically used within a few months and others that I would just like to see progress with over the whole year.

The Body Shop Matte Lip Liquid “California Rose”, Superdrug B. Brow Styler “03 Brown”, NYX Retractable Lip Liner “Nude”, Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pencil “Black Noir”.

The Body Shop Matte Lip Liquid “California Rose” - Discontinued

I bought this back during Christmas of 2019, so it’s time to be used up. Unfortunately, there’s no visual way of seeing my progress, so we’ll just have to go by weighing. On its first time on the scales, it weighs 16.4g. I quite often use this as a liquid blush as well, so I’m hoping to see a good amount used every month.

Superdrug B. Brow Styler “03 Brown” January Project Pan 2022

Superdrug B. Brow Styler “03 Brown - Discontinued

This is something I am actively hoping to have finished by the end of the year. It is a perfect shade for my brows but can be a little bit too thick to look natural. I use it every time I do my makeup, so my progress should be fairly consistent - it weighs 8.9g to start with.

NYX Retractable Lip Liner “Nude”

NYX Retractable Lip Liner “Nude” - Discontinued

Another product that could be used up within the first half of the year. I got this in my NYX Advent Calendar back in 2019, and since then, it’s been sat gathering dust in a draw, so it’s time it got some love! It’s practically brand new and weighs 4.5g.

Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pencil “Black Noir”

Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pencil “Black Noir” - £12

Not necessarily looking to use this pencil up any time soon, more just looking to get my moneys worth out of it while it’s still in a good condition. I will be using it nearly every time I wear makeup, so I’m hoping we see some movement on the chart. It weighs 5.9g.

Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Creams

Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Creams - £7.99

I’m planning on panning both items from this kit. It’s relatively expensive for the amount of product you get, and only coming in one shade is pretty abysmal. I’d like to have it out of my collection and move on to something more inclusive.

Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Cream - Contour

The contour stick has already been used a fair amount, at least ten times, but it hardly looks touched. I’m already expecting this to be a year-long project, as I’ll probably dig under the rim once I’m flush with the packaging. It weighs 25.3g.

And the highlight cream, which I have never used. While this is something I would never have bought on its own, now that it’s in my collection, I feel like I might as well have a go at using it up. If I don’t get along with it, it may be decluttered to a member of family at a later date. It weighs 25.1g.

The Body Shop Makeup Setting Spray - £8

This is old and over halfway done, as you can see from the green mark on the washi tape (it’s not very clear. I’ll use a sharpie next time!). I like this a lot, but I’ve never finished a setting spray before, so I have absolutely no idea how long this is going to take. It weighs 46.3g.

Lottie London Ready Set! Go Setting Powder “True Translucent”

Lottie London Ready Set! Go Setting Powder “True Translucent” - £6.95

Probably my favourite setting powder, but it’s not very easy to get hold of anymore. This is in their old packaging, so it’s a fair few years old. It’s still about half full, but with consistent use over the year, I could see this being possible to finish. It currently weighs 52.3g.

Milk Makeup Hydrogrip Primer - Sample Size

Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer “Sample Size” - Worth Around £2.75

This is one of three samples I have accumulated as gift with purchases from Cult Beauty. With only 4mls of product in this little bottle, I don’t imagine it will take very long to polish off. Being in an airless pump, it will also be satisfying watching the progress, as you can see below. It currently weighs 12.7g.

Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer Project Pan Progress

Ofra Mini Highlighter “Rodeo Drive” - £13.95

I long longer buy from Ofra for various political and ethical reasons, so I would like to use the few items I’ve got and move them out of my collection. A beautiful highlight but a little bit too deep for my skin tone, so I have to use a light hand. The pan is removable from the compact, so hopefully, the weighing will be more accurate. There are 4g of product, and it currently weighs 6.6g.

E.l.f Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder

E.l.f Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder “St Lucia” - £5

This duo is a good quality, excellent value option from e.l.f that I’ve been really enjoying using these past few months. Hard to tell in this picture, but in certain lights, I can already see the shape of the pan underneath, especially on the bronzer. I’ve seen a few people pan this duo on YouTube, and it does look satisfying. The blusher is a bit glittery, so I tend to use it more as a topper. Right now, it weighs 70.8g.

My Goals For Next Month:

Nothing too crazy is going to happen between now and next time. Setting spray seems to be going steadily down, and the primer will hopefully not be around for too much longer. Everything else is a solid work I progress - some much more ambitious than others, but all items that will all be looking a lot more loved before 2023!!
