My 2022 Rolling Project Pan - July Update
We are now halfway through this project, and I cannot believe how quickly this year of panning is going. After a big update two months ago, I don’t think we’ll be getting any monumental changes until later in the year, but I’m pleased to say steady progress is already starting.
Superdrug B. Brow Styler “03 Brown - Discontinued
This brow pencil isn’t holding up very well in the hot weather we’ve been having. What was a very solid pencil in the winter is now more soft and creamy; annoyingly, that has also made it a little bit harder to use. No new tally mark this month, and it still weighs 8.6g.
NYX Retractable Lip Liner “Nude” - Discontinued
I’m actually staggered when I see how much I’ve used already of this lip liner. This is another product that has been suffering in the heat and has become very soft - I have to be careful I don’t snap it every time I use it. Sadly, it still weighs 4.4g.
Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pencil “Black Noir” - £12
Still loving this eye pencil, so much so that it’s been sharpened again. I reckon anyone wearing makeup daily would have had this finished up in no time, but for me, it’s still going to take a while. It now weighs 5.4g, so I’ve used 0.1g this month.
Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Creams - £7.99 - Contour
I can’t lie; I am starting to get bored of this. There’s nothing wrong with it, and it blends easily on top of foundation, but I just want to use something new - I am stubborn, though, and will finish my year with this product. It now weighs 25g, so I used 0.1g this month.
Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist Mini - £8.00
This setting spray is fixing my makeup in place so much better than The Body Shop one - and with the heatwave we’ve been having, that is pretty miraculous! It’s not going too quickly, but I’m not bothered so long as it gets used up by the end of the year, which I think is still possible. It now weighs 43.5g, so I’ve used 3.2g this month.
Lottie London Ready Set! Go Setting Powder “True Translucent” - £6.95
No new tally mark this month, and I’m not surprised. When the heatwave was at its worse, I was using powder foundation and using that to set my concealer, so this powder was out of rotation for a while. All that being said, I did still get some use from it this month, so it now weighs 45.8g, and I’ve used 0.6g.
e.l.f Mint Melt Cooling Face Primer - £8.00
Firstly, I’ve decided to start taking side pictures of the primer. It appears to be in an airless tube, so I’m hoping we can see some side-by-side photos as it starts to empty. My progress this month wasn’t as much as I’d like, but I was also trying out the Collection Gorgeous Glow Filter Finish Primer, so it took a back seat. It now weighs 47.4g, so I’ve used 0.7g this month.
Ofra Mini Highlighter “Rodeo Drive” - £13.95
I’m fed up with saying there’s been no change. I’m going to be positive and think about how far I’ve come with this highlighter in six months. From starting out as something that was practically new, I’m now looking at a big dip in the centre of the pan. I’ve taken a picture from the side, which I’ll post below. It now weighs 6.2g, so I e used 0.1g this month.
E.l.f Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder “St Lucia” - £5
Will I see a glimmer of pan in this compact before the end of the year? I’m not so sure. I look at these pictures every month and get a little bit disheartened when I see very little movement. It’s still one of my most used items of makeup, and I know if I keep pushing, I can reach my goal. It now weighs 69.8g, so I used 0.1g this month.
NYX Lip Lingerie - French Maid - £7.00
Still using this up mainly as a liquid blush and mixing this in with a liquid highlighter, I’ve really been liking the results. I’ve decided to keep this in the project to the end of the year with hopes that I get it at least a quarter (1ml) of the way used by then. After that, I can decide whether I want to put it back in my collection or declutter it. It now weighs 24.1g, so it hasn’t changed since last month.
Goal For Next Month:
I would love to see more progress on the lip liner and brow pencil - I’m starting to think they, along with the setting spray, are my best hopes of finishing before the end of the year. Anything else would be a very nice bonus.
