My 2022 Rolling Project Pan - April Update

Another month, another project pan update (I promise I have some other blog posts coming soon!), and I think it’s time for a little bit of a shakeup. Some products are leaving, a new one is joining, and some are very nearly finished - so let’s get started!

Superdrug B. Brow Styler Project Pan April Update

Superdrug B. Brow Styler “03 Brown - Discontinued

Didn’t think it was worth drawing another line this month for the amount of progress made. I’ve still been using it consistently, and looking back to pictures at the start, I do feel like I’m getting somewhere. I have far too many brow products in my stash, so it would be nice to get at least one out of the way this year. It still weighs 8.6g.

NYX Retractable Lip Pencil Nude - Project Pan April Update

NYX Retractable Lip Liner “Nude” - Discontinued

I am now confident that this will be finished before the end of the year. It might be taking significantly longer than I first anticipated, but the progress is starting to be visible, and I’m not fed up using it, so that’s good.

Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pencil “Black Noir” - £12

When Pixi call this endless, they really mean it! I feel like I have already had my money’s worth out of this pencil and it still looks barely used. I didn’t make a new mark this month, but I imagine there will be one next month after it’s been sharpened again. It still weighs 5.6g.

Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Creams Project Pan April Update

Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Creams - £7.99 - Contour

Another item I couldn’t make a new tally mark for this month. I don’t hate this contour stick (unlike its highlighting opposite number), but it just feels never-ending. I wish there was more visible progress - any real visible progress from the start of the year, but I’m not giving up. It still weighs 25.2g.

Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Creams - £7.99 - Highlighter

And this is where things are going to change. I’ve tried for months to like this highlight cream, but I just can’t make it work - so it’s time to go. I’m happily taking this project down to ten items because I know I can use them without forcing myself. It also still weighs 25g.

The Body Shop Makeup Setting Spray - £8

On to a much more successful item. This setting spray will be done in my next update; there’s just literally no way it won’t be. I’ve got a stupidly large collection of setting sprays, so having one gone is gonna feel like a great achievement. It now weighs 23.3g, so I used 6.2g this month.

Lottie London Ready Set! Go Setting Powder “True Translucent” - £6.95

Looking at this picture now, I think I may have marked my last tally too low as the powder looks to be slanting ever so slightly - whether that means I’ll be able to mark it next month, I’m not sure. Anyway, it’s looking more and more empty, which is really encouraging. It now weighs 49.4g, so I used 0.9g this month.

Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer “Sample Size” - Worth Around £2.75

For a sample size, this has lasted me a ridiculously long time. I can’t honestly say it would ever be worth me buying a full size - it would most likely go off before I ever had the chance to finish it. Looks like it will probably be done by next month or maybe the one after, then I just need to decide what I’m rolling in next. It now weighs 10.1g, so I’ve used 0.8g this month.

Ofra Mini Highlighter “Rodeo Drive” - £13.95

The ring in the middle is getting bigger, right? I don’t think I will ever finish this, at least not before the year ends. What started the project as a goal to use up is now just to hit pan - still a pretty massive deal! It still weighs 6.3g.

E.l.f Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder “St Lucia” - £5

One of these days, I am going to do one of these updates and have some really exciting news about this little face palette; unfortunately, today is not that day. I sound like a broken record, but I know I am close to hitting pan on the bronzer -it’s literally sooo close! It now weighs 70.2g, so I used 0.2g this month.

The Body Shop Matte Lip Liquid “California Rose” - Discontinued

And I’ve decided to roll this lipstick out. Not only is it getting boring, but I also would love something I can take some progress pictures of occasionally. Three months of consistent use has been great, and I don’t hate it, but I do need a change. Overall I used 0.4g, which I’m not too proud of. I’m not decluttering it, and it may end up back in my project at a future date.

NYX Lip Lingerie - French Maid - £7.00

And this is what I’m adding in its place. I never really loved this lipstick at the time of getting it, but it’s a good match for the lip liner I’m already panning, and I would like to spend some time getting to know it before deciding whether it is something I want to declutter. There are only 4ml in the product, and it currently weighs 24.3g.

Goals For Next Month:

Hitting pan on my bronzer and blusher duo is always the big goal here, but next month I would be happy to roll in replacements for the setting spray and primer - that would feel like a big accomplishment.
