My 2022 Rolling Project Pan - May Update

We are now a third of the way through the year and that also means a third of the way through my project pan! Luckily, this updated is a very good one, so let’s get right to it.

Superdrug B. Brow Styler “03 Brown - Project Pan May Update

Superdrug B. Brow Styler “03 Brown - Discontinued

Another great month of use on this brown pencil, and I’m finally starting to see an end in sight. After last month not being able to make a mark, looking at this progress picture feels pretty good. Only negative after how great it looks, is that it still weighs 8.6g.

NYX Retractable Lip Liner “Nude” - Discontinued

Very happy with the amount of lip liner I used this month. While this will never be my favourite lip liner, I do like that it’s waterproof and does stay put until I take it off, it’s also a fairly adaptable colour that goes with many different lipsticks. It still weighs 4.5g, but with something this small, I wasn’t expecting anything else.

Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pencil “Black Noir” Project Pan May Update

Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pencil “Black Noir” - £12

The pencil has been sharpened again, and now it’s really starting to look more loved. I tend to use this with a brush to smudge along my upper lash line and sometimes tight line, so it has been getting a lot of use. There is potential that I may roll this out at some point in the coming months to get some use of of my expensive liquid liners before they dry out. It now weighs 5.5g, so I’ve used 0.1g this month.

Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Creams - Project Pan May Update

Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Creams - £7.99 - Contour

I’m not even sure if my tally’s are accurate at this point. It look exactly the same to me, but the tally marks show differently. As much as I don’t mind this contour stick (to be honest, the tone is more bronze than contour), I don’t think I’ll be using this in 2023 - I’d like to give some of my other cream products attention. It now weighs 25.1g, so I used 0.1g last month.

The Body Shop Makeup Setting Spray Project Pan May Update

The Body Shop Makeup Setting Spray - £8

Woohoo! And my first item of the year is done. Considering I currently have 20 setting sprays in my collection, I am more than happy to see one go. This Body Shop one was fine overall, but nothing spectacular - I don’t think it did much to prolong the wear of my makeup, so I wouldn’t buy again. It’s final weight is 18g, so I used 5.3g this month and 28.3g this year.

Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist - Project Pan May Update

Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist Mini - £8.00

And this is what I’m rolling in in its place. This is a brand new product that I only got last year, but it’s also only got 30ml of product in it, so it should go quickly. Hopefully this will be a good motivator for the coming months. It’s starting weight is 51.9g.

Lottie London Ready Set! Go Setting Powder “True Translucent” Project Pan May Update

Lottie London Ready Set! Go Setting Powder “True Translucent” - £6.95

As I guessed in my last update, I marked the tally too low and couldn’t make a new one this time. Still, this is really starting to look half empty - maybe even more than half - and I’m still enjoying using it, so I can see it being easily finished by the end of the year. It now weighs 48.1g, so I used 1.3g this month.

Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer “Sample Size” - Project Pan May Update

Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer “Sample Size” - Worth Around £2.75

And we have another one done. Considering this is only 4ml it lasted way longer than I could have imagined, definitely gave me a good impression of whether I liked it or not. I don’t think that I would purchase a full size of this, purely because I have plenty of others to use up, and there are a lot of drugstore dupes for this now. It’s end weight was 9.1g, so over this project I have used 3.6g.

e.l.f Mint Melt Cooling Face Primer - £8.00

So I decided to replace one face primer with another, and coincidentally it’s a dupe of the Milk one. Sadly, I think e.l.f has no replaced this with a fragrance free version, and I would love to try that one at some point, so this one needs to be finished. At the moment, it’s brand new and weighs 49g.

Ofra Mini Highlighter “Rodeo Drive” -

Ofra Mini Highlighter “Rodeo Drive” - £13.95

I swear I’ve used this highlighter every time I’ve worn makeup, yet it barely looks used. I have been so committed to hitting pan on it, I’ve even being using this to top my eyeshadows, but it just seems unmovable. Unfortunately it also still weighs 6.3g.

E.l.f Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder “St Lucia” - £5

It looks exactly the same, doesn’t it? While I feel like I’m having so much success with setting spray, primer and setting powder, this bronzer and blush duo isn’t going so well. It still seems like it’s very close to the pan - but I have been saying that for months! It now weighs 70.1g, so I’ve used 0.1g this month.

NYX Lip Lingerie - French Maid - £7.00

And finally we have this liquid lipstick from NYX. I’ll be honest, I’m not loving it as a lipstick; it’s very drying and peels off really weirdly. It does however, make a nice liquid blush and I’ve been using it predominantly for that. I don’t think this will ever be used up, but I could see myself making a good dent in it over the coming months. It’s still weighs 24.3g for now.

Goals For Next Month:

No big goals for next time (I think this month is all the excitement I’ll get for a while!), just some more steady progress and hopefully getting a few products out of my collection.

Sophie x
