Four months into my second year of project panning, and things are going really well. I’m still enjoying seeing the monthly progress as my products are slowly used up, and I get them out of my collection. Still not very good at this paring-down business, but I’m getting a bit better.

e.l.f Mint Melt Cooling Face Primer - £8.00

Progress is slow but consistent with this primer. Would I like to move on to something else? Absolutely, but after a year of continual use, I’m stubborn enough to see this through to the end, and I know it will be finished in the next few months. It now weighs 31.7g, so I’ve used 1.9g this month.

e.l.f Halo Glow Liquid Filter - Shade 1 - £14.00

The little window that appeared last month seems to have disappeared. I’m not surprised; this little bottle still seems to be absolutely full of product and will definitely be hanging around for the entirety of this project. Still, good progress was made, and it now weighs 130.3g, so I’ve used 1.5g this month.

Barry M Fresh Face Foundation - £7.99

I think I might be able to see a bit of difference between the two pictures this month. This is probably the least interesting product in the project, but I’m hoping that in the next half of the year, it can start to go a bit quicker. It now weighs 29.3g, so I have used 0.7g this month.

e.l.f Hydrating Camo Concealer - Fair Rose - £6.00

Doesn’t look like it in the picture, but another mark has been made, and this concealer is slowly coming to an end. As with every month, it’s just nice to see that line coming down and to know that I’m getting good use out of it before it goes off. It now weighs 28.5g, so I’ve used 0.5g this month - that’s wild! I don’t know how I’ve managed that.

Uoma By Sharon C Flawless IRL Bronzer “Shady” - £8.50

Loving the massive dip now appearing in the centre of this bronzer pan. I might be very disappointed in a few weeks, but I’m gonna predict that in my next update, we will have a pan. I’ve decided that I will be taking this out of the project at the halfway point in the year; I feel like I’ve made great progress, but as it’s such a small compact, I would like to travel with it later in the year, so it’s time to roll something new in for July. It now weighs 45.5g, and I’ve used 0.3g this month.

17. Perfect Finish Translucent Powder - £3.50

First month using this powder, and I can honestly say I really like it. For a budget-friendly item, it’s just as good, if not better, than some that have cost three times the price. It has a faint glow, but it never leaves you looking shiny, just healthy. Being only 5g in weight, I can still see myself finishing this before autumn rolls around, and I might actually be sad to see it go. It now weighs 38g, so I’ve used 0.8g this month.

Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer - £14.99

I’m really growing to love this bronzer; not sure I’ll buy it again once this is done, the whole Physicians Formula Cruelty Free status being a bit of a grey area has me holding off on buying anything more from the brand. Luckily, I’ve probably still got a year of this left, but it is nice to see the pattern slowly wearing down. It now weighs 62.8g, so I’ve used 0.2g this month.

Ofra Mini Highlighter “Rodeo Drive” - £13.99

Sixteen months with this highlighter is starting to get boring. I’ve decided to have a mini reset at the start of July, replacing this and the cream bronzer with new items just to keep away the boredom - I’m hoping that I can maybe hit pan before then! It now weighs 5.8g, so I’ve managed to use 0.1g this month.

Iconic London Prep-Set-Glow Setting Spray “Original” - £24.00

First month in the project, and I am already seeing great results in this setting spray. On a side note, I paid about £18.00 for this back in 2019; it’s pretty shocking that it’s gone up by £6.00 in that time. Back then, I considered it a luxury purchase, and I have another one I got as a free gift, but I wouldn’t buy it again - as lovely as it is. It now weighs 148.2g, and I’ve used a really good 6.8g.

Tarte H2o Gloss Lip Gloss “Hang Ten” Mini - £6.66

How this lip gloss still looks the same after so many uses, I don’t know. At this point, I feel as if I’m neglecting my big collection just to focus on one product I threw into the project as a quick and easy finish. I’ve used a good chunk of it, and I know it can’t be too long until I see some visual results, but I may take a break from it in the near future.

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Powder Foundation - F1 - £8.00

And finally, I have decided to add my powder foundation to the project. I use this as the last step in my routine on my under eyes and anywhere I know I might get oily during the day. Having done this for a few months, I’ve hit pan and would like to see how much it expands over the next few months. Its starting weight is 78.6g.

Goals For Next Month

That highlighter must be getting close to pan by now. Surely in my next update, we will have reached my goal! If I could also reach my goal with the cream bronzer, that would be amazing, but at the end of the day, progress is progress, and I’ll take it.
