My 2023 Rolling Project Pan - February Update

First update of the project, and I can already say that I’m really happy with the items I’ve selected. All products are getting used, and nothing feels like a chore, so I know I must be on the right track. Some progress has been made, and I can’t wait to show you the results.

Superdrug B. Brow Styler “03 Brown - Discontinued

The last dregs of this eyebrow pencil are still hanging on, and it’s going to be at least another month before I can finally call it done. I’m glad I’ve come so far with this product; it’s taught me how few brow products I use in a year - and that I need to buy less. It still weighs 8.6g.

e.l.f Mint Melt Cooling Face Primer - £8.00

I can’t see much change in the picture above, but I’m pretty sure it’s going steadily down. I’m running out of things to say about this primer; it’s great, I love it and would buy it again if it was still available, but at the same time, I’ll be glad to try something new. It now weighs 37.3g, so I’ve used 1.3g this month.

e.l.f Halo Glow Liquid Filter - Shade 1 - £14.00

My love for this product isn’t slowing down. I love the way it looks, the way it feels, the way it wears on my skin. If I was to be super, super picky, I’d only comment on not liking the noise it makes when I put the doe foot back in the bottle, lol! I don’t think this is a product we’ll really be able to get a good idea of how much is gone until it’s nearly empty, but I might try shining a torch through it for next month’s picture. It weighs 134.3g, and I’ve used 1g this month.

Barry M Fresh Face Foundation - £7.99

I didn’t take a side-view picture last month, so we’ll have to start from now, but I’ve already made really good progress on this foundation. I love to mix a pea-sized amount of this with the e.l.f Halo Glow Liquid Filter, and I love the way it looks, no cakeyness and just the right amount of coverage. It now weighs 31.3g, and I’ve used 0.7g.

e.l.f Hydrating Camo Concealer - Fair Rose - £6.00

Not much difference to be seen in these two pictures, but my concealer is slowly but surely going down. I’m already expecting this to take most of, if not all, of the year to finish; the thing keeping me going is the sense of achievement I hope to feel when I finish a concealer for the first time ever (since I was a teen). Its weight is now 29.6g, so I’ve used 0.3g this month.

Uoma By Sharon C Flawless IRL Bronzer “Shady” - £8.50

I’ve taken the surface pattern off this cream bronzer, and I’m now slowly creating a dip in the middle. It took a while to get used to it, I can’t lie, but after almost giving up and feeling like it was disturbing my foundation, I found that it works much better by pressing the cream into the skin rather than swiping. Hopefully, now I’m a bit more confident using it, I can start to see bigger progress in the coming months. It now weighs 46.3g, so I’ve used 0.1g this month.

Lottie London Ready Set! Go Setting Powder “True Translucent” - £6.95

How this powder is still hanging around, I will never know. I’m still using it super consistently, and I know it’s only a few months away from being empty, but it’s feeling like an eternity. I’ve loved using this powder, and I will be slightly concerned that others in my collection won’t live up to it - I can only hope I like any of them even half as much. This month it weighs 38g, so this month, I’ve used 1g.

Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer - £14.99

I’ve removed the surface pattern off most areas of this bronzer, but I think I’ve also developed a bit of hard pan. It’s not the end of the world and nothing that a bit of sellotape can’t fix, but I think I’ll try using more setting powder before next using it. All that being said, it’s a pretty expensive bronzer, and I had expected it to be less finicky. It now weighs 63.5g, and this month I’ve used 0.1g.

Ofra Mini Highlighter “Rodeo Drive” - £13.95

And the saga of the never-ending highlighter continues. No pan yet, but the area of a different texture is slowly expanding, and fingers crossed, it won’t be long until that elusive pan appears. It now weighs 6g, so I’ve used 0.1g this month.

NYX Retractable Lip Liner “Nude” - Discontinued

I somehow seem to have lost the piece of paper with my tally marks for this and the eyebrow pencil on, so unfortunately, I can only do comparison pictures. But either way, this lip liner is getting excitingly close to the finish. Two months from now, I can see myself rolling something new into the project, and that gives me hope to carry on with everything else. It still weighs 4.2g.

Tarte H2o Gloss Lip Gloss “Hang Ten” Mini - £6.66

And lastly, my little bonus lip gloss that I would like to have finished sooner than later. I definitely underestimated how long it would take to see progress; I mean, it looks exactly the same as last month in the picture. I’ll just keep plodding along, hopefully, it will be done by midway through the year. It now weighs 11.5g, so I’ve used 0.1g this month.

Goals For Next Month

An empty would be the ultimate achievement for me going forwards, but I am slowly learning not to assume anything in this panning game. Having the lip liner and brow pencil finished before April rolls around is more likely, and if the powder wants to hurry up as well, that would be amazing!
