T-Zone Australian Pink Clay Mask – Review

T-Zone Australian Pink Clay Face Mask £8.95 Superdrug

Australian Pink Clay is all over Instagram, so many people using that very famous, very expensive little pink tub face mask. Yeah I really wanted to try it, but like most people – there is no way I can afford the best part of £40 for one product. Lucky for all us bargain beauty hunters, T-Zone has us covered.

T-Zone products have been around for years, I actually use their Charcoal nose strips every so often. I’ll be honest and say that I really wasn’t expecting them to come out with something so on trend and current – but they really are coming out with some great stuff at the moment. On a recent trip to Superdrug, I even spotted a few biodegradable glitter peel off masks!

T-Zone Australian Pink Clay Mask Packaging.

Packaging

Packaging wise it comes in the a standard cardboard (extra points for being clearly labelled Cruelty Free and Vegan). Inside is a really substantial sized tube with 125ml of product. That is double the amount to the popular brand.

Negatives wise, the non recyclable tube is disappointing. I suppose a glass jar would be nice but it’s not a deal breaker.

Product

Onto the actual product – the ingredients are not exactly the same as the popular brand but does include Kakadu Plum, Aloe, Witch Hazel, Rosemary, and Vitamins A and E. Whether these are of as good quality, I don’t know.

Before opening the tube, you really need to shake it. The mask definitely separates in the packaging over time causing water to pour out first. You get used to this after a few uses.

Smell – is uniform to the rest of the T-zone brand and is very pleasant without being overpowering.

T-Zone Australian Pink Clay Mask - Testing.

I like to apply my face masks with a cheap, reusable plastic spatula that I got from Primark. I find this makes application easy, doesn’t waste product and can be cleaned under a tap.

Apply this mask is easy and quick, the whole process can be done in 15 minutes! It dries quickly and does have a tightening feeling on your face. Once dry it does go slightly chalky and does fall off onto your clothes. Don’t wipe this off with a baby wipe as it just turns back to face mask again (personal experience!). Best to just shake it off into the bin.

Overall, this mask is perfect for someone with oily/combination skin. It does tighten pores and really gets rid of excess oil without ever feeling too harsh.

It’s perfect for a quick skin boost before applying makeup and for me has actually helped to clear up acne.

Have you tried any T-zone products? What do you think?
